Here are steps to install Hibernate tools for Eclipse Ganymede:
1) download from www.eclipse.org:
birt-report-framework-2_3_2.zip, birt-wtp-integration-sdk-2_3_2.zip, dtp-sdk_1.6.2.zip, eclipse-SDK-3.4.2-win32.zip (or eclipse-SDK-3.4.2 for your OS), eclipse-test-framework-3.4.2.zip, emf-sdo-xsd-SDK-2.4.2.zip, GEF-SDK-3.4.2.zip, wtp-sdk-R-3.0.4-20090213193639.zip
2) from here: https://www.hibernate.org/6.html
download Hibernate Tools: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/jboss/HibernateTools-3.2.4.GA-R200905070146-H18.zip
3) unpack eclipse zips to your eclipse install folder;
4) unpack Hibernate Tools in eclipse/dropins;
